Rules


Players *1) Age:* Must be 17 or older to join. *2) Mature Content:* This rpg is not limited to pg-13 status. Many things are going to go on that go far beyond that rating. If you don't like it don't read it. *3) OOC Drama:* Talk to each other. Try to sort things out via IM's, emails, or even through the mods if necessary. We want everyone to have a good time. *4) Leaving:* If you must leave the game (or place your characters on hiatus), please contact the mods and make a note in the OOC community. *5) FAQ's:* Read them, enough said. Characters and Character Portrayal *6) Godmodding:* Do not god mod. Do not write for the other person. Do not say they did something if they did not. All pretty logical. *7) Character Death:* No killing of other peoples characters without consent. As a player, please use common sense. Pissing off a character that is known to have a temper just because you know the character is not allowed to kill you is simply another form of godmodding. With this do not make characters and continually kill them off, deaths have to make sense. *8) Slash:* We allow it, however we ask that you use some common sense, and that your character (and their sexual orientation) be believable. *9) Icons:* Make use of them. Please no incredibly small 10x10 icons *10) Journals:* First person, emails, aim chat logs, lyrics, letters, whatever you want can go in a characters personal journal. However Narratives and posts that are to be rped out go in the main community. No rping out of third person threads in personal journals. Posting *11) Frequency:* Post whenever you like, as often as you like, but don't leave people hanging. Keep in mind that if you don't post regularly other characters will move along without you. *12)Activity Checks:* We will do these about once a month. If your character is on the inactive list we will send an email letting you know. If you have not posted that character by the next activity check they will be opt for removal. *13) Grammar:* Clear and legible writing is a must. No netspeak allowed (Exception: in character messaging). *14) OOC:* Keep all ooc posts in the ooc community. *15) Ratings:* If the post will be heavy in sexual content then place a rating with the post description and friends lock it. *16) Time Advancement:* Mod controlled. The game is done in week increments. A mod post will be made stating the week’s weather and activities along with the week’s dates and news. One week in game time will equal two weeks of real life time. The day before time advancement we will give warning in the OOC so that others have time to get saves in should they need them for that week. *17) Friends Locking:* Please keep all posts in the communities as public. A lot of us are in multiple RPG's and aren’t always logged in to see friend’s only entries. Character journals, however, can be friends locked; just make sure to keep your friends list updated. The OOC community is all members only. *18) Threading:* This is a thread based in-depth RPG. No AIM threading or logs. There are AIM chats between characters, but not threading. We ask for details and depth in replies. See FAQ's for more information.

FAQ's about Characters Q) What sort of races are allowed? A) Humans, Ghosts, and Supernaturals. The races of supernaturals allowed are limited however so please see to the race guidelines for further explanation. Q) Are mixed races allowed? A) Yes however it is considered rare and only one mixed race character will be allowed per character and can not be more then two races. Q) How do supernatural senses work? A) Almost all supernaturals have heightened senses. Hearing, sight, smell, speed, healing. The older one is the better these senses become. Because of this it is not easy to sneak around other supernaturals. They can hear heartbeats, smell sweat, hear footsteps. Q) Are you allowed to use artwork for the main PB of a character? IRL Friends? Myspace people? A) No, no and no Q) Where do I go to find a character needed for plot? A) Look to the Wnated Characters page Q) How many characters are we allowed to have? A) As many as you can handle but do realize if you are slacking with the ones you got we aren’t going to go sure have more.

FAQ's about the Game Q) How do personal journals work? A) Personal journals are where phone conversations, text messages, notes and AIM conversations between two characters are posted. The post must include the week and day in the subject line along with who is involved. Q) How does the forum community work? A) The forum is like the out of character board for us muns except for characters. The forum is linked to all computers in the building and accessible to all tenants. Its where random questions between characters can be posted, notices of missing cats, or chit chat. Be aware everything in the forum is public to all residents. Q) How does the forum community entries and messaging work? A) All done by computer only. Q) What time period does this place take part in? A) Modern day Q) How do I know what the weather and or moon is like? A) The week advancement posts made by the mod’s in the community will state such things. Q) Is AIM RP threading allowed? A) No, the only form of AIM rping allowed is in the form of chats between characters. Threading through AIM isn’t allowed. Q) Do I have to have an AIM name for my character? A) No you do not, that’s optional. You can just do the chat on your regular aim name and change the name to fit your character if need be. Q) How does messaging between characters work? A) Just like chatting for you works. When they go online for the first time to the forum it will ask if they'd like to create a messenger name as well. When they do all others with names on the forum will be showed to there friends list/contact list. Everyone can see everyone online in the building without adding. So characters who do not know each other can interact. AIM convos can be posted in personal journals, behind cuts with AIM or Chat listed in the cut. AIM convos can not be seen by other players (ie they can’t be replied to like first person journal entries can). Q) How are community posts to be formatted? A) Playable Posts must have a Who, When and Where at beginning of the post and the week and day listed in the subject line. If the post is going to be heavy in violence or sexual content a Rating must also be included under the who when and where and the post must be friends locked. Third person narratives are posts that are not rped out and they too go in the main community. These entries are to have just the week and day the post takes place on in the subject line along with a note that its a narrative. Q) Can we use vampire the masquerade terms or rules? A) No as this game is not vampire the masquerade terms related to that and the rules of it do not apply here. Q) Can other languages be used in posts? A) Not everyone speaks English of course and many prefer their home languages however not every mun speaks all these languages. Your free to have your character type posts in whatever language you wish but please leave a translation of what it says (even if other characters wouldn’t know that’s what it says) simply so that us muns can read what the character is saying.

FAQ's about the General Items Q) Can I jump into any post? A) So long as the post lists that it is open to anyone then feel free. However if the post already has a reply from someone else please contact the other muns and ask if they mind if you jump in and play as well. Q) Can I post again even if I’m in a still active thread? A) Yes you can post again however take the time of posts into consideration. If your in an active morning thread its doubtful that you know for sure that they will be open again for late morning. Use logic in this. Q) How often should I update my character? A) As often as you want. However if a character is inactive for more then a month we will send out a PM or Email to ensure that you are still active. Please keep the character up to date, if RL is busy then just make a personal post so that people know what’s going on with your character. Q) How long do posts have to be? A) We aren’t saying you have to do novels here but we are saying to give us something to work with. Q) What are NPC characters? A) NPC stands for not played character, or not often played. These are characters that are needed for specific plots however outside of those plots they are not often needed. NPC's that are played by muns have to be for plot reasons. This is not a place just to stick characters you don’t want to play all the time. Random npcs can be used out of the npc journal as well. However reoccurring npcs must be for plot purposes. Q) How do pregnancies work in this game? A) Pregnancies are to be played out fully. If your character is human they are going to be pregnant 9 months. If your character is a supernatural they are going to be pregnant at least 6 months. If they are a vampire they wont be able to have children. If you don’t have the patience to play out a full pregnancy then do not do this plot. Supernatural mothers will be weaker and not have as strong of powers while pregnant. Q) Do we have to ask before doing a pregnancy plot? A) No but we ask people to be logical. We ask that people take this and all other serious matters as just that, seriously, there are many other ways to advance plot and pregnancy tends to actually decrease plot rather then help it. If anyone over uses this mods will step in.
